A Sanctuary for Body, Breath, and Being
“Yoga is not about flexibility of the spine; it is about flexibility of the nervous system. It is a gentle invitation to come home to yourself.”
When we have experienced deep loss or trauma, our bodies can feel like an unfamiliar or even unsafe place to reside. You might find yourself living entirely in your head, feeling physically frozen, or constantly overwhelmed by stress.
This space is different. We do not use movement to push, force, or achieve a perfect posture. We use trauma-informed yoga, breath, and stillness to gently remind your body that it is safe to open, soften, and breathe again.
Yoga
This Practice Is For You If:
You are recovering from burnout: High stress leaves you depleted, and you need a practice that restores your energy rather than draining it.
You live with chronic pain or tension: You want a slow, somatic movement lens that respects your body’s unique limits and boundaries.
You want to reconnect back to yourself: You are looking for a deeply respectful, compassionate space to safely inhabit your body without pressure to achieve or perform.
My Approach: Movement as Medicine
I blend conscious movement, breath, subtle energetics, and somatic awareness to help you feel grounded, open, and restored. This is not just yoga. This is nervous system nourishment. It is breath, space, and a path toward true reconnection.
Through mindful, flowing practices, we listen to the wisdom of your body rather than the demands of a rigid exercise routine. The movements we practice are gentle, yet deeply powerful, allowing you to release stored tension, settle an anxious mind, and anchor yourself firmly in the present moment.
Because healing and nervous system work require a safe, intentional foundation, I do not offer rigid schedules or large, impersonal drop-in spaces. Instead, my yoga, workshop, and community circle offerings are carefully curated, intimate, and often co-created on request to ensure they remain true sanctuaries for deep rest.
The Styles We Weave Together
If traditional yoga classes have ever felt too fast, competitive, or demanding, you belong here.
We blend the structural grounding of Hatha with the fluid, heart-centred flow of Dru Yoga to create an adaptive practice tailored entirely to your comfort level:
Mindful Postures (Asanas): Holding gentle poses to build functional stability, improve physical comfort, and ground your awareness in the present moment.
Conscious Breathwork (Pranayama): Using slow, regulated breathing to soothe a stressed nervous system and signal deep safety to the body.
Mindful Transitions: Moving slowly between shapes so you can track your body’s sensations and maintain full agency over your movement.
Restorative Dru Yoga
Energy Block Release (EBR): Rhythmic, flowing sequences explicitly designed to clear stored emotional stress, fatigue, and chronic physical tension from your muscles.
Soft, Unlocked Joints: Keeping the body’s joints relaxed rather than locked, which protects your physical boundaries and prevents triggering a fight-or-flight response.
Spinal Freedom & Visualisation: Soft spinal movements paired with empowering visualisations to release deep core compression and uplift your energy.
