Grief Tending
Grief is not a task to finish or a problem to fix. It is the sacred, tender, and deeply human response to losing who or what we love.
Whether you are navigating a recent, sudden storm, carrying a quiet sorrow from long ago, or feeling overwhelmed by a shifting life, please breathe out. You do not have to be strong here. Your pain does not need to be tidy, and you do not have to heal on anyone else’s timeline. Whatever you are feeling in this very moment is entirely welcome.
What is Trauma-Informed, Somatic Grief Tending?
Deep loss changes the landscape of our lives, and it often leaves our minds and bodies feeling shaken, overwhelmed, or completely numb. Because grief lives deeply within our physical bodies and nervous systems, traditional talk therapy isn't always enough. A somatic, trauma-informed approach is a gentle promise to protect your peace by listening to your whole self:
We move at the speed of safety. We will never force you to dive into painful memories. We work to soothe your nervous system, offering gentle comfort for the physical weariness, chest tightness, and exhaustion that grief brings.
We welcome every part of you. Grief is complicated. A part of you might feel deep sadness, another part might feel intense anger, and another part might feel completely numb or protective. Every single one of these parts is welcome here.
We process pain gently. Using soft, nervous-system-informed tools, we help your brain and body digest the shock of loss without flooding your system with distress.
You are always in control. Loss strips away our choices. In our sessions, you always hold the map. You decide how deep we go, how fast we move, and when we simply sit in the quiet.
Spaces of Healing for Every Journey
Grief wears many faces, and every expression of sorrow is valid. This space is open to you if you are walking through:
The loss of a cherished loved one, whether the goodbye was sudden, expected, recent, or many years ago.
Anticipatory grief, carrying the quiet, heavy ache of a loved one's ongoing illness.
Layered or multiple losses, when life has brought consecutive waves of change, making it hard to catch your breath.
Hidden or unacknowledged sorrow, mourning losses that society doesn't always see, like a beloved pet, a broken relationship, a lost dream, or a major life transition.
A Note from My Heart to Yours
You do not have to dress your grief with heavy armour. You do not have to hide the depth of your tears, the confusion of your thoughts, or the weight of your silence. Whenever you are ready, I am here to meet you in the quiet, holding a soft light in the dark until you can begin to see a path forward.
My journey to this work was paved by my own long walk through profound, multiple losses. I know the specific, echoing ache of navigating a world that suddenly feels completely altered. I understand firsthand how quiet, dark, and disorienting it is when what or who we love is gone, and how deeply that sorrow settles into the bones and the spaces around us.
This landscape belongs entirely to your own heart, and because no two griefs, and no two nervous systems move to the same rhythm, I will never expect your healing to follow a standard script or a forced timeline. Instead, I offer a deep reverence for your pain, gentle somatic tools to help your body hold the weight, and a quiet space to walk beside you as you find your own gentle way forward.
